Keep the grasshoppers away with garlic

Past growing season, I planted radishes. I was super excited when the first leaves came out of the soil! :) Unfortunately, I was not the only one that was happy and excited with my seedlings. Big green grasshoppers tend to like the green leaves of radishes a lot. At first, I didn’t know exactly what to think of the little holes in my leafs, but after a while I noticed the 2 grasshoppers around it :) There is not that much you can do to keep them away. What you can do is catch them and free them again somewhere far away from your garden. Or you can use a mesh to protect your plants. What I did was to spread garlic around the plants in small pieces. A lot of insects don’t like the scent of garlic. I have to say It helped very well :)
What are your best trick to keep away grasshoppers?

i love them, but indeed they can eat all of your plants. I put nets above them and they cannot touch them
